6-11. Clearing memory data (reinitialization)
If the sewing machine stops operating normally, the cause may be that an incorrect memory setting may have been made by
means of the memory switch, for instance. In such cases, normal operation may be restored if the memory data is
reinitialized.

Clearing or reinitializing all memory data (sewing programs, memory switches,
user programs, cycle programs and expansion option output data)

* Refer to the instruction manual for the programmer for details of expansion option output.

TEST indicator illuminates, MENU indicator switches off
While holding down the RESET key, turn on the power
switch.
* Keep pressing the RESET key until the model name is
displayed and the buzzer beeps once.
The parameter number will appear in the PROGRAM
No. display, and the setting details for that parameter
will appear in the menu display.

Press the
or key to select the parameter number
that you would like to reinitialize.
Selecting individual sewing programs
For parameter No. 1, press the
key to change the
display from " SEW" to "***".(*** is the sewing program
number.)
Press the
or key to select the sewing program
number that you would like to clear.

Press and hold the RESET key for 2 seconds or more.
A long beep will sound and the data for the selected item will be reinitialized.
The setting details for only the initialized item will change from flashing to
steadily illuminated.

End data initialization mode

Press the TEST key.
